Today I am grateful:
- for zappos.com --the only place to get your boots and/or shoes
- that I found the tube of lipstick I washed the other day BEFORE I put the pants in the dryer
- to be packing up to go to the boondocks shortly where the Honey and I'll plant the squash, beans and tomatoes today and put up the fences--gotta wait til the weather warms up to plant okra, sez Honey--I've always had flower gardens, never veggies, so this is a new experience for me
- that when Honey looked out his back door a few nights ago, there were four does looking back at him from just a few feet away. Before he could pick up his camera, they were gone. (Every time we're there, Jackie Chan very excitedly smells all the animal tracks, especially the deer tracks, strains at his leash and and dashes off with dreams of tracking down a deer and bringing it home for his dinner. Couldn't ever let Jackie Chan off his leash at Honey's as there are big hawks and owls there who dream of bringing home a juicy little 4.5 pound Yorkie for dinner)
- that we'll go to BobWillsJr Danceland tonight, hang out with the regulars and waltz, polka and two-step to live music
- that if we go dancing tonight, we'll be rested up enough to dance again Sunday night--can't do the dancing-every-night-all-night-long thing anymore
- for the free daily inspirational message from Joel Osteen--just go to his site. Just LOVE that man--AND his message!

Sounds like you are going for the full on big Scare Crow kind of veggie garden.Maybe you can make a funky scare crow in one of your art classes...lol

Shannon, my links have dropped to the bottom of the page--don't know when or why or how. And I don't know how to get 'em up again. Any ideas, Scott?
How to grow veggies? I'm a veggie virgin--don't know diidly squat about growing veggies to use a technical term. I acted as a helper--what we did Saturday is dig holes for the squash and tomatoes, put the bean and pea seeds in the ground (that Honey had tilled and composted previous weeks)and then he turned on the sprinklers. I have noticed that most seeds and plants given water, good dirt and sun will grow. In and around Houston, stuff grows--
you sound so peaceful and joyful and that is wonderful to hear.
LaJ the links drop when you put photos in... I suspect it happened when you put the two photos in the one posting. blogger can be finicky that way. Once these become archived it will return to normal - till you put in some more big photos.

Meg is right, you have a picture posted that is too large. You can go to edit posts and resize it by clicking on the picture and adjusting the side and bottom bars.
I hope you had a great time dancing! What is BobWillsJr Danceland? Is it open to the public? I'd love a new place to go dancing!
