More Emmet--and a little touch of Ghandi
"To be poor in spirit...means to have emptied yourself of all desire to exercise personal self-will, and, what is just as important, to have renounced all preconceived opinions in the whole-hearted search for God. " (Emmet Fox, The Sermon on the Mount)
Today I am grateful:
- for blooming redbud trees
- for those sweet and juicy Clementines--they're my favorite snack while they're in season
- that Jackie Chan will stay at Honey's this weekend--not at the kennel-- while I go to see my son in SC. Jackie Chan HATES the kennel and he'll have a good time checking out the animal tracks in Old Waverly
- for the Al-Anon friend who surprised me with two CDs of great live Bluegrass music last night after the 12 step meeting. My Hill-Billy blood (my daddy's side) responds so wildly to Bluegrass music--it hits me smack-dab in the heart
- that my friend Sanna is in town from LA and I'll eat lunch with her shortly. Just looooove old friends!
"Every moment of your life is infinitely creative and the universe is endlessly bountiful. Just put forth a clear enough request, and everything your heart desires must come to you." --Gandhi
